Klaas & Brockmeier

This artwork exudes the atmosphere of the south. During their stay in Mallorca, Klaas and Brockmeier were inspired by the light, colors, and architecture of the island. In Bienvenido, the Spanish word for 'welcome', you see an open, gate-like form that invites you in. The small, almost playful figure in the center appears to make a gesture of greeting, as if you are being invited to step into another world. Painting and sculpture flow subtly into one another. A warm and accessible work that welcomes the viewer and invites a moment of reflection.
