Sketch Horse

Willem Lenssinck
A drawing or sketch of a horse is always flat or one-dimensional. The image of a horse often starts with two legs. A horse cannot walk on two legs. Therefore, the sketch lines in bronze have been added as a third dimension. This creates the illusion of movement. Willem Lenssinck is the first sculptor to succeed in representing two dimensions in a single sculpture. This has never been shown in sculpture in this way before.
