1 HP Automatic

Willem Lenssinck
This sculpture is the most symbolic in the transformers series when it comes to the transition from horse and carriage to the automobile. The lines are sleek yet everything flows seamlessly into one another. The horse's reins become the engine's throttle cable. The legs are rudimentarily positioned at the back of the Volvo automatic transmission. On the side, there is still an oil dipstick and a transmission button. The sculptor's humor lies in these kinds of small details.
