Irish Bull
Willem Lenssinck
The Irish Bulls is a contemporary adaptation of an Irish fairy tale. King Fergus and Queen Mave from Ireland were exactly equally wealthy. However, King Fergus owned a magnificent white bull. Queen Maeve was so jealous that she wanted an even larger brown bull from neighboring Ulster. The negotiations failed, after which she obtained the bull by force. The white and black bulls fought each other. The black one won but died shortly after the battle. The story symbolizes the futility of war. As Willem puts it: a bull shit story, pure fantasy and a variant on the second transformer he created: the 1hp Mach II.
